This photo taken in August 2003 of a Lake Superior sunset was a prelude for one of the craziest weather nights that I have ever experienced in my life. I was traveling alone on a road trip from Toronto to Winnipeg and back, this was taken on the journey home after a few days in Winnipeg. My campsite was located not to far from where the above photo was taken. That night as I sat around a small campfire it noticed that 11 at night the winds picked up and started to howl, the darkness of night became very quiet with the exception of the wind blowing through the trees and over the water. Suddenly a flash of light and the lake is lit up and looks like a shot out of the Perfect Storm, as I watch the storm is coming closer and closer it was quite a sight!! After a few mins the storm hit and I retreated to my tent for some restless sleep.
